Blocked, ribboned, and presented! the little guy is due late next month so we’ll see how it suits him then :)

DONE! blocking….
I think, in retrospect, I would have doubled to the first 10 rows of seed stitch to 20 rows so that it would be even with the 10 stitches of seed stitch up the sides… as it was, the top and bottom borders were about half what they should’ve been… oh well.
Also - I have an entire skein left over! the final measurements (I blocked it pretty tight) were 38”x40”.

Made it through skein 1.
Since this is such a simple pattern, I’m using it as practice to FINALLY make the switch to continental knitting. I’ve been throwing for 15 years. It’s time.

casting on 130 stitches.
This is for a classmate of mine and her wonderful husband. They’re expecting their first kid in a couple months (a boy!). I’ve told them of my plan to call him Megatron… They’ll come around.
Anywho - I’ll be using seed stitch for the border. squares will each be 5 stitches.
