A friend sent me a link to these fingerless gloves, seeing as I’m somewhat obsessed with fingerless gloves… and then I had to make them. The challenge was finding yarn that had a nice color gradient that would change at the right pace. I saw this yarn while visiting my parents over the weekend and it was pretty perfect.
I basically bought 2 50g skeins and used one for each glove… I did have to splice out some of each, there was a long stretch of blue grey that I removed, and then one skein had way more grey so I had to cut some out, but overall the projects were quick and low-drama. Each one took me about 2-3 hours.
I’d consider these a great gift, as well, and wouldn’t mind doing another pair or 2. The crocodile stitch was a lot of fun!

I did use a slightly smaller hook than called for in the pattern (I have a loose gauge), and the other alteration is that I did the picots every 2 stitches instead of 3 so they were closer together.
