LOVE IT - the drape with the linen stitch is truly amazing. The size is also perfect, mine looks a bit bigger than some others - maybe I blocked it extra tight, but it’s knit as written.

All done! Washed and blocked, I love the look of the linen stitch, looks like it will have beautiful drape. I still wish the lace border was brown, but it looks nice none-the-less. Pictures coming!

My prior frustration at having to start over has melted in light of how awesome this thing looks today! I’m through a chunk of the alternating colors and now I’m doing a few rows of the straight dark green which has created a very cool gradient look.

So I frogged the whole thing and reversed the colors. I’ve re-knit the whole border and I’m several rows into the linen stitch. I like it!

So I’ve made quite a mistake! that’s what I get for buying my yarn before buying the pattern :(
I bought 1 small skein of dark green for the border and 1 large skein of mid-green for the body. But BOTH COLORS ARE ALTERNATED IN THE BODY meaning my amounts should have been reversed - you need more of your border color.
I’ve just finished the entire border, so my options are to just use one color for the body (which looses a lot of the varigation) or frog everything and restart…. sad day.

Most of my recent knitting projects have all been self-designed and thus quite prolonged and labor-intensive. I’m really looking forward to following someone else’s pattern for once!
I’ve been waiting quite a long time to make this shawl, I love the texture and the overall look. The yarns I’ve picked are nice forest greens :)
