I thought long and hard which stripes to make, so long in fact, almost a 1,000 of FOs have been made already :) Then decided to make one for each season (why not?), and this is a summer one. Let the yarn do the work! It’s bright and cheery, perfect match for all summer berries!

Details:

• made full version with 12 stripes;
• carried the yarn on the right, twisted two yarns together and knit the first stitch using both of them when alternating yarns;
• little gap formed by CO was sewn shut in the end (see last 2 pictures);
• knit 39 rows with white on the border, then BO on the wrong side using the very stretchy BO.
• had 422 sts before BO;
• used two full skeins of white sock yarn, they weigh 48g each, had 4 g of yarn left, so 92g used;
• used about 102g of Aage Long;
• total weight is 194g;
• poured lots of vinegar to the wash and rinse water to prevent bleeding, but the white got muddied ever so slightly nonetheless;
• did not stretch with wires or pins, just laid flat to dry, it’s a generous size already;
• found Aade Long to be not very strong, had hard time winding it, it kept breaking in the blue and purple sections; in fact, those areas had multiple knots, which I untied and spit & spliced :)
