There is no such thing as a sweater curse! Made for the love of my life Mike. Named the Ireland sweater because it reminds me of Ireland and that is one of the places we will be going this upcoming semester!

Circumference - 43.5”
Sleeve Length - 20”

Progress Notes:
10/31/14- I have 8 of the 17 inches of body done!! So far I have used 1 1/2 skeins
11/6/14 - I have 12 of the 17 inches done! 2 skeins finished just starting my third.
11/15/14 - I have finished the body and I am officially about 6 inches into the sleeve! So far I have used almost a whole 3rd skein and have started a 4th. Now to finish these 2 sleeves, do the yoke and then bam I am done and it is looking good to be finished for Christmas!
11/20/2014 - 1st sleeve done and about 5 inches into the second sleeve!
11/24/2014 - 2nd sleeve done!
12/3/2014 - Almost finished with the yoke! Only trouble I have had is in short rows. I understood the wrap and turn idea but my ADHD tendencies kicked in and I didn’t keep reading the tutorial about how to pick up wrapped stitches. So now I have a few little short row holes. When I graft the underarms I will go and take the extra yarn to darn the holes. Ah no project is complete without a few oversights!
12/27/2014 - Sweater is finished, gifted and loved! All except for blocking… OF COURSE. I plan to have this all blocked and ready to go with us to SPAIN in 12 days!
This was a great pattern, very easy to follow and the yarn worked out wonderfully. I love the tweed variations paired with the garter accents. Simple and beautiful sweater. If you are thinking of making one for the man in your life, do it! It is wonderful and it looks great.
This was the showstopper of Christmas, and I love how it turned out. Love in every stitch!
If I made this again:
I would make sure to follow the proper instructions on how to do short rows. Wonderful pattern, pretty perfect and no changes other than the ribbing on the sleeves as far as I’m concerned!
