This was part of my swiftmas gift.

Got ideas from this thread, ended up essentially doing the moss stitch.

Chained an even number, sc into 4th chain from hook, chain 1, skip next chain, sc into next, ch1, repeat (sc, ch1 into every other chain). Then turn, ch2, and sc into gap right before the first sc in the previous row, ch1, and sc, ch1 in every gap.

I started with the pattern but this was my first scarf and first time doing an every-other type stitch. I was inconsistent in the beginning and dropped stitches at the edges. It was consistent when I consistently ended with a single crochet in the outer edge of the last stitch, turned, ch2, and did the first sc right before the last interior sc.

On my time crunch, this was the only yarn I had access to that was the right color. Probably should’ve been closer to a worsted weight. I think the Caron Simply Soft in Autumn Red is the best acrylic choice for this item.

Used two strands of yarn as tassels, which started to fray (in a good way?) after washing.
