Started in Malabrigo lace, ended up doing something cuckoo and trying to rip it off the needles in rage, except it was so tight and twisted I spent ten minutes slowly working it off instead. Then I threw the ball of yarn dramatically on the table at knit night and said if anybody wanted it they could have the blessed thing with my compliments.

After that I poked sullenly around and ended up buying a skein of Malabrigo Sock in Archangel, which is beautiful and like a sunset and behaving itself like a lamb.

On row before nupps as of 6/13/10

6/18 loathe the nupps but got them finished somehow, actually ended up throwing another tantrum at the yarn store yesterday because the damn things kept driving me bananas. Eventually did all the nupps in one row with a crochet hook. Just have the two plain charted rows and then on to the short rows! I’m hoping to finish by next Thursday. This week was not a good one for working lace.

6/22 if I never seen another short row again it will be way the hell too soon.

6/24 DONE. …should have used a bigger needle, though. Next time I try it in sock yarn I’ll do at least size six.
