1/16 Done! I knit an extra inch on the body before doing the crown because I wanted a little more slouch. That and using a larger needle size give this hat a nice slouch. My goal was avoid the hat hair that typically happens with closer fitting hats. I still knit the brim using the suggested needle size, so I have a good fit around that point. I will try to get an action shot and try to get the color correct. The photos look more purple than the yarn actually is, which is actually more like a deep red wine color.

1/13 I have about 6 inches now from the beginning. He pattern is easily memorized, too, which makes the rest of the knitting go much quicker.

1/8 Got started on this. I’ve been eying this pattern for a long time -- it’s just so pretty. I’ve got a dark yarn, so I hope that I can get some good photos along the way, since I know it can be hard to photograph.
