This one went in hibernation over most of 2017 due to some carpal-tunnel issues I was having. I picked it up again in December. I made some adjustments to the pattern because I measured wrong in the first mitten - it’s about 10 rows too long. So the second one has different positioning of the loon and some changes in the “splash” at the bottom. The palm side is also stronger with the positioning of the pattern. I need to write up the complete pattern now and post. I will also make a matching left hand mitten with the new pattern…eventually :)

The DH requested some ultra-warm fluffy mittens to wear when he attends matches of the Minnesota United. The opening game this year found him covered in snow and poorly equipped with flimsy store-bought mittens. So, not finding a pattern that I liked, I decided to create my own. I’ve uploaded a sneak peek screen shot, and I will upload the full pattern once I’m done with the pattern.
