A very easy pattern to knit and I felt the ‘push’ to finish it because the yarn had been discontinued after I bought it and I wasn’t sure I had enough. In the end, I did - with about 10 yards left over. Whew!

I divided the sleeves after the 11th repeat of the back pattern and then continued with most of the length of the sweater but I wanted to get long sleeves out of so then concentrated on them. I then used the remaining yarn for the length of the sweater (22 patterns of the back) and it turned out to be a perfect length for me.

I will do this pattern again - and will even try to find another 10 skeins of the same Mykonos yarn in a different color as the drape and feel of this yarn is amazing! It’s not so fun to wind as it is easier to handle if it’s wound by hand rather than a ball winder, and NEVER a center-pull ball! This stuff is like a Slinky on steroids and each ball needs it’s own little plastic baggy to contain it.
