Notes

Not sure if all the colorways are correct… some were discontinued colors.

The Wool of the Andes Bulky was held double, to make wide marled stripes, along with one strand of green Aloft (mohair silk blend) held throughout the whole thing, on size US 11s—it’s VERY soft and VERY warm!

I sketched out an idea like a month ago for an any-gauge sideways-knit cardigan that I thought I might even turn into a pattern or tutorial or something… I was so excited, I started right away… and then I had some issues. I had one major problem that was due to a miscalculation for my armhole opening, so I ended up adding extra where the shoulder seam was supposed to go, to make the armhole big enough. That worked, and when I tried on the first sleeve it looked like it was working! So I made the second sleeve, then tried it on again, and was very sad. It didn’t actually work. It basically had no shoulders. So I added shoulders. The last image is my first attempt, which didn’t quite work, and then I tried again and it worked!

It is NOT a perfect sweater, but it functions and I LOVE the yarn and colors, so I’m happy with it! I won’t be turning it into a pattern though— there are actual garment designers out there who know what they’re doing!
