I had a hard time getting DK gauge with this yarn, kept getting 19 sts/4” with multiple needle sizes, so decided to make this and hoping it’ll block out to fit well, since I’m fine with a little oversized.
I’m gonna stripe several blue/green colorways throughout, maybe blending them a little with slip-stitch rows at the color changes. The body will be all knit in movie theaters, one color per movie (except the bottom was an extra big color section and two movies).
Bottom ribbing (Mt Scott colorway): Anatomy of a Fall (rating 9 stars/10)
Solid chunk above the bottom colorwork (Mt Scott colorway): Killers of the Flower Moon (8/10)
Springfield stripe: Priscilla (8/10)
Italian Ice Speckle stripe: Saltburn (4/10)
Cattail: Dream Scenario (7/10)
Foster Powell: Godzilla Minus One (7/10)
Mt Scott: Poor Things (9/10)
Springfield: The Boy and the Heron (7/10)
Italian Ice Speckle: All of Us Strangers (7/10)
Cattail: Past Lives (10/10) (only knit for half the movie) & The Zone of Interest (9/10)
Body is done! Next is sleeves then yoke, no more movie theater knitting.
I seem to have completely lost my second hank of Mt Scott, so I’m adding a ball of Northstar Kettle for the cuffs and to replace Mt Scott in the color rotation for the yoke, oops.
Started the sleeves (two at a time of course!), did the colorwork cuffs, then started doing movie stripes after that, at home since I can’t mess with the circulars and keep track of increases in a theater!
Sleeve solid chunk above the bottom colorwork (Northstar Kettle): Ordet (8/10)
Springfield stripe: Pather Panchali (8/10)
Italian Ice Speckle: Amanda (7/10)
Cattail: I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians (8/10)
Foster Powell: Dead Pigs (7/10)
Springfield: The Battle of Algiers (9/10)
Italian Ice Speckle: Häxan (6/10)
Cattail: Incendies (8/10)
