Turned the first corner of the edge knitting. Of course it was a short side so ……

Of course, I was so pressed for time I didn’t keep up with the notes. But I finished and got it to the bride about a month after the wedding shower.
She was so awesome, she actually took it for her formal pictures and sent me one and a video.
After seeing it on her, I could have made it a little longer, maybe 8 more hearts. But I was very pleased with the final results.
I did make some mistakes. Especially in attaching the border. I found about 4 holes which were easily fixed.
The mesh pattern was another story. It was very difficult for me to see my mistakes and almost impossible to go back and fix them. Most wouldn’t be noticeable to someone who doesn’t knit but I did end up with a couple of larger holes.
Overall the pattern for Love on the Edge was good. Definitely not for a beginner. The hearts are ingenious and the more you made the easier they got. Once again, the mesh was challenging for me. I don’t think it was how it was written, probably because it was so hard to see where the yarn was going (hope you understand this). Harder to read the knitting in other words.
I’m really glad I chose this pattern and stuck it out. Well worth the effort!
