I made this quilt in a lighter weight yarn for a small boy’s bed. We tried to dominate the yarn with the denim blue but the natural popped anyway. The recipient is thrilled (although not so thrilled on the final cost - but quality will out).

Loved making this for the technique but by the end of the project I was a little over the overall pattern - a bit busy and “eye dazzling”. However the reverse fabric also offered a lovely alternative pattern and could easily be used for the I’ve a headache days. When sewing the stripes together, the blankie was on my lap and legs and it was toasty warm whilst still being very lightweight - a result of choosing the Biggan’s yarn which is LOVELY.

I’m pleased to see the project finished but happy with it overall. I love the scalloped edge.
