Notes

Love this little dress. I knitted the hem with six rows of moss stitch and on the back made a loop from crochet loops and sewed it on the back. Made the 3-6 months size.
Love how it turned out.
I need to knit one more because I got off on my count and the pearls on the top got in the wrong place but I still love the simplicity of it.

Leave the cast on yarn long so you can make a crochet loop for the button hole.
I used Jenny’s magic cast off and didn’t like the way it looked.

June 2015 Made my second Lucy dress out of Debbie Bliss, baby cashmerino. Love it. Made little shoes from the crochet pattern “Double Strap Booties.

February 2016 Made my third Lucy dress out of Jill Eaton Cotton Tail. Making the second size with a cast on of 68.Gifted to Baby Sheridan June 2016.

July 2017 made my fourth Lucy dress out of Key West Caribbean Kotton, color Fruit Punch which is a light pink. Used 2 skeins but could of used three.

There are two confusing parts so when I get to the sleeves I changed my directions on page 3 -
Separating for the Sleeves:
If making cap sleeves: K to the 1st stitch marker CO 2 sts PM, BO all sts between 1st and 2nd markers (removing markers ) (You sd have 22 sts for each sleeve), CO 2 sts, k to the3rd st marker (removing markers)PM CO 2 sts and BO all of the sts between the 3rd and 4th markers, CO sts, K to the end of round.

The other tricky part is at the top of page 4. Make sure you have equal no. of sts on the front and back. Round 1 starts from the first stitch marker on the sleeves.
The purl stitches will be in the middle of the front and back and the increase sts will be under the purls on the following rows.

I have bookmarked two people who made notes about these tricky parts. I adore the dress and hope this is helpful.
