I crocheted 25 Granny Stars for the nursing home Crochet Ladies to decorate on Christmas Eve. Thank goodness it’s such an easy pattern! – A wonderful project for sport weight yarn scraps. –

I soaked them in fabric stiffener and sprinkled with translucent glitter while still damp. Then the ladies added further glitz with beads and regular glitter.

Almost immediately after each star got decorated it was gifted to whomever happened to pass by the Rec Room next, residents and visitors alike. Judging by the smiles of both givers and recipients, I’d call this Christmas project a great success!
