The sleeves are knitted in rows to facilitate working the tucks, while the body is knitted in the round and separated at armholes. To avoid picking up stitches from the WS for tucks, the 1. row/round is worked with 2 circular needles held parallell.

Both sweater and cowl are knitted with 2 strands held together.
