I was looking specifically for a leaf lace shawlette patten to use up stash yarn in a colour that reminded me of maple leaves changing to brick red in the fall. This was the perfect pattern.

I knit seven pattern repeats rather than eight as was written. The shawlette knit up rather quickly.

This is a well written pattern and easy to follow. The designer has included a chart as well as written directions for those who aren’t familiar with or bewitched by charts.

This is a good project for beginners who want to dive into lace shawls.
