Notes

These were knit as a Christmas gift for my young niece Sarah to match the Cables and Tassels hat on my project page.

Very simple and well written pattern.

I did a twisted rib cuff for three inches rather than two and left off the ribbing for the edge of the flap.

I picked up and knit four stitches rather than two for the thumb and then knit the two extra stitches together on the following round so that I ended up with 10 thumb stitches as was originally written.

Picking up only two stitches left holes. This is always the case when I knit thumbs and fingers, so I always cast on extra stitches.
