I knit Size 1 for my tall ten year old.

The entire sweater is knit using two threads. This enhances the tweed like effect, adds warmth & creates a slightly sturdier, harder wearing fabric for a very busy young man.
Length Underarm to sleeve 45cm
Underarm to hem 39cm.

Main colour Wishbone yarns Houndstooth Tweed in colourway Pigeon grey ( 824m/ 229g) held double with Nurturing Fibres single spun lace in colour Atlantic.(678.2m/ 99g)⭐️Note: I swopped the lace for the Kumo (in colourway Winterfell) to hold double with the grey when doing the yoke.

CC1 Wishboneyarns Houndstooth Tweed in Marigold (234m/ 65g) held double with Yamayarns Merino Mohair Cobweb Lace in colourway Khaki.(112m/ 14g)

CC2 Wishbone yarns Houndstooth Tweed in Bone China (93.6m/ 26g) held double with Miss la motte Lace singles in Rustic Linen.(84m/ 12g)

CC3 Wishboneyarns Houndstooth Tweed in Cara Cara (27.8m/ 8g) held double with Wishboneyarns lace singles in Tobacco Flower. (18.6m/ 3g)

Modifications

I knit the longer length & the longer sleeve.
I decreased the neckline down to 96sts before doing the rib to ensure a closer fit around a child size neck.

Foxes eyes and nose are knit in Miss la motte singles a pitch black colourway held double with a thread of Kumo ~ colourway Winterfell.
The Fox heads are knit with a thread of Kumo in colourway Kitsune held double with Houndstooth Tweed Cara cara which gives them the lovely orange colour.
