Tricky Knit!!
Working with the thin animal fiber of unknown origin and the sequined yarn held together as one was very slow. The sequins would get hung up, so I constantly had to tease the yarn through the stitches. But I loved the appearance of the fabric, so I didn’t give up.
I worked the bottom band substituting size 2 needles for the 1.5’s and completed the six rows of garter stitch. The body of the sweater was worked with the size 4’s. Made the sleeve in the medium size and decided it fit like a tournequet, so I opted to make the extra large sleeves instead. That worked!
When I tried it on after completion, I decide it was a little too short, so I picked up around the bottom and worked about 2.5 inches of 3 rows of stockinette 6 rows of garter stitch, binding off with Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off (which I also used for the neckline).
I think it is a very pretty sweater and can’t wait to take it out on the town!

BTW: I dubbed the Chainmain Top because the shiny lurex sequined yarn and the grey yarn give the illusion of a metalic fabric. Kind of unexpected!!
