Plan to make this for J with the 2 dragons from the men’s cardigan in YarnForward 21 on the fronts for the Winter Ravelympics 2010. One Ice Dragon and one Fire Dragon.

Used 152g of the main yarn (the equivalent of 3 balls) or 495 yards, used 7g or 77 yards of Red, used 5g or 35 yards of blue and it took 23, 186 stitches in total

Feb 13 - 26 CO 180sts, 2 x 2 rib for 2”, 14 rows (2,700 sts), start the st-st and the dragon charts, 4 rows (720 sts), 10 rows (1,800 sts), 9 rows (1,620 sts), 13 rows (2,340 sts), 11 rows (1,980 sts), 11 rows (1,980 sts) cast off 12 sts at each underarm and now have to do each piece separately. Used separate balls for each section but kept them all at the same level, finished working the underarm shapings (2,724 sts), finished working the neck shapings (2,520 sts), need to do another 1.5” then recheck length. Finished body (738 sts). Picked up and knitted button bands (1,944 sts), sleeve bands (2,120 sts). Knitting all finished and it’s blocking before I sew in the ends and put on the buttons.

Dragon breath will be silver lined crystal beads for the ice dragon and rosy cinnamon lustre beads for the fire dragon

Did a swatch to check gauge and yarn choices for dragons, red one needs to be triple stranded and blue one needs to be double stranded (1,140 sts), 4mm needle is fine. ;-)
