Going to do the KAL with the Retro Lemon Podcast Group

Jun 9 - 13 CO and set up row then 50 rows (4,239 sts, 83 yards), 14 rows to 200 stitches (2,527 sts, 44 yards). Now to do the inc row and aim for 304 stitches. Worked the inc row and 9 rows of chart (3,071 sts), finished the chart (2,895 sts, 110 yards), 5 rows of garter and BO (4,362 sts, 81 yards)

Notes and Mods

• I’m planning for 25 owls as it’s my 25th wedding anniversary this year so I need to start the owl section with 304 stitches
• I’m planning on a garter stitch edge at the bottom so I need to leave 60% of my yarn for the owl section so 94g
• Wrap the first purl stitch after a knit stitch the opposite way to keep it neater, like combination knitting
• Using 4mm Miyuki transparent rainbow square beads for the eyes (they reflect the light in every direction)
• On row 17 of the chart inc 1 stitch at each side of the owls to make the bottom edge sit better
