36 blowfishes in this project

20nov2017
4 more for Zyrus & Hitomi on hk visit. Blue, red, beige in silk garden sock, black from Quinn’s gloves. With 1” magnets.

5sept2017
Finished 3 (noro silk garden sock) in time for Carmen’s kids when we went to visit them in Michigan. With 1” magnets.

25may2017
Gave one to Gwen on Sunday.

25apr2017
The one with no animal in the photo was for Sarah. Finished the eyes on the car trip up to orangeville to visit, so animal photos didn’t work. Previous one on Kahlua was for a friend with depression. And one of those in the group of 6 also went to a friend with depression. Because blowfishes are for when life blows?

21nov2016
Another 6 blowfishes in noro aurora and silk garden sock. Gave one to Iris. ETA: 2 going to Celine’s kids, 1 went to Lilly. Can’t remember what happened to the last two..

23oct2016
Blowfishes in noro silk garden sock col s267.

17aug2016

Made a little noro aurora pirate fish for Leah. The 5 remaining noro sock blowfishes went to Laurie, and 2 each to Zyrus and Hitomi. Think I’m going to have to get more noro for blowfishes.

24may2016

Isabelle wants the top row second from right fish in pic with Kahlua.

6may2015

Silk garden sock, colour s301. Got 8 blowfishes out of one skein, with about 7g of yarn left. One of those was a bit hacked togther because of a knot in the middle. Haven’t tucked in some of the ends because I was thinking about adding magnets. Gave the 2 with the green lips to M&B as a get well present. I’m really really liking Noro for blowfishes!

22dec2015

3 more Noro aurora blowfishes, posing with an earlier one. One skein makes 3 with a tiny bit left over. Sadly, my very last skein in this colour of this discontinued yarn.

19dec2015

A noro kureyon blowfish. No idea what the colour way is. 1 skein makes 1 blowfish and 2 slugs.

23nov2015

Another Noro Aurora blowfish. I love the blowfishes in this yarn! This is extra awesome because I bought magnets for the mouth. Yay magnets!

1june2015

Another ridiculous blowfish in Noro Aurora. This time I got the fins to match. This one may go to god children. Previous one went to Rob K for making my life unecessarily complicated with chromium.

2mar2015

Saw a couple of gradient blowfishes and decided I want to make one. From the left overs of my noro aurora clapotis.

31june2014

Green cashmere blowfish went to mom.

15may2013

finished this just in time for guild adjudicated show. 100% vicuna, with silk eye whites and qiviut eyeballs. made on 2.0mm needles. has an inexpensive eye piercing and jump ring for an inexpensive necklace :).

skipped rounds 6,7, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 for shorter tail and body. skipped short rows 5,6 and 21,22 for shorter fin.

10nov2013

ok, I guess not all the blowfish is angry. the green cashmere one isn’t. wore it to the woodstock festival, and sold a few patterns there. have also worn it a few times since, and I get compliments on it. need a better chain though, because this one gives me a rash.

18oct2013
green cashmere fish from the never ending leftovers that started with this project. I made the tail 1 repeat longer, which I’m not as keen on, and the body a bit shorter by doing 1 plain row instead of 2 between spike rows, so its a bit shorter. also made the fins a bit shorter.

21june2013
blowfish with evil intents :)
tundra pearl on 2.25mm (present for Gary)
madtosh merino dk on 2.5mm (present for Celine)
