the yarn got super drapey after washing, and after waffling a while, I decide I still love it. the best thing is that it is soft and doesn’t seem to pill at all, the ribbing also shows up really well, although it is not very elastic. sweater number 2, for me, has a fairly different feel to it.

writing a pattern for this sweater has been interesting and stressful. the sweater construction is a twist on the traditional raglan design, and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

finished on the bus yesterday. I ripped out the yoke once after I realized I made the sleeves too wide. kept adjusting sleeve & body length. I love top down sweaters! need to block it and see how it changes.

took Patrick to Knit & Chat last week, where he was a little bit bored… I said we could leave after a look around, and instead of me getting yarn, he ended up liking this yarn just because it has Yak in it. Yak Yak Yak is his words. so he’s getting a sweater, and he better be super excited about this one!

I’ve started swatching, and have some idea of what I want to do. the yarn feels lovely and is super nice to knit with.
