This is part of a knitmob blanket for Iris, idea being the blanket is the muppet opening scene with curtains and pillars and what not, with individual muppets being finger puppets. Crazy idea from Erin. Will link blanket project when it appears.

Started the first puppet around early June. Did the 2 squares in July (Erin, so many freaking ends!!!). First puppet was Animal, then Eagle Sam, Dr Teeth, Janice, Floyd, Zoot, Fozzie and Rowlf. Animal was actually finished last, because he was the prototype for how to do a finger puppet. All the other puppets have knitted on arms, which was a bit easier to deal with.

Squares are about 43 yards each, in Berroco-remix.

Puppets have cascade 220 base in various colours, and then different fibres needle felted on it. Dr Teeth’s scarf is made of novelty yarn. Zoot’s hair is Wellington Fibre mohair locks.

Iris got the blanket last night, I think she liked it.
