Picking up the left shoulder - see technique .
This got me confused , but it’s easier than it sounds . Just use the working yarn to draw the first loop from left back , drop the working yarn , use the tail to pick up the rest of stitches ( 12 in my size ) , then drop the tail , and slide the cable , and voila .. you’re working on your first row , which is right side .

I did almost 10 inches on the body length . Then did the lace border . Lace border is using criss cross dropped stitches . It’s quite fun to do .

I finished the body couple days ago , took me 3 tries as far as what bind off i should be doing . Since this is linen 100% , it barely gives any stretch . I had to make sure the bind off is stretchy enough so i can put it on !
The first bind off was only basic bind off with larger needle , that didn’t work .. i can just slide in 1 arm and can’t do the other . -FROGGED
The second bind off was the stretchy bind off where you knit 2 stitches and then return to left and i think k2tog .. something like that . It’s one of the basic best stretchy bind off . Didn’t work either .. same happened with the first - FROGGED
Third time’s a charm ! I decided just to do my favorite bind off .. Icord bind off . Since the last row done was purl , i had to add 1 row of knit then did the ICORD bind off . It works , it is stretchy enough to put it on .

So the neckline and armholes also used icord bind off . I figured i am not risking it getting too tight with any other bind off . It fits perfectly and gives the shoulder straps extra width .
