I’ve been asked to make something for a girlfriends wedding……and I want to weave her and her prospective hubby a shawl/scarf to take with them to Peru.

Some fab rainbow hues in this mercerized cotton and Cottolin.

It’s working up nicely. The looseness of the clasped weaving and the reed will make a great relaxed textured scarf.

EDITED TO ADD - All done = really pleased with it. A lovely loose comfy lightweight scarf - half done clasped weave and half woven in normal sections.

The clasped weave took a long time (by simple rigid heddle weaving standard)….the second half not so much.

The bit I love the most is the wonderful natural crinkles made by giving it a nasty hot wash and throwing it in the dryer….ready for anything Peru can dish out.
