Notes

flying home is the first pattern i’ve made two times in a row. the very minute i cast off the first this one was on the needles! first flying home found here. i loved knitting this and will very likely make many more.

i added more repeats in this shawl also, i think 14 in total to make it a bit larger. i love the construction of the pattern, the shawl stays on! it sits so delicately on the shoulders, very flattering and lovely!

i did not pull out the picot points and only blocked very gently, just giving it the lightest mist with water.

i was curious about trying lion brand lb collection silk mohair, and am really pleased! this is a very good and economical substitute for rowans kid silk haze. it has the same yardage and content, 70% super kid mohair and 30% silk. the color wisp i’ve used in this flying home is so SO beautiful. it’s a very soft blush color.

thank you again kat for a wonderful pattern!
