The pattern calls for two strands held together for the first three rows…I did NOT do that, as there would have been no way to get the called-for size 8 beads on there! You simply must get a 0.8mm Fleegle Beader. I wish I’d done an extra knit row at the beginning before doing the bead row, since they disappear into the cast-on edge a little (but then, I used a Chinese Waitress Cast On, so maybe you wouldn’t have that problem with a long-arm cast on). I am a very loose knitter, so you may need slightly less yarn than I do. My size probably came out closer to a 2.
