Notes

This cushion cover is knit in strips and the strips are then sewn together along the sides.

I changed the increases and decreases from what the pattern suggested so that the stitches would slant left or right on the proper side of the strip.

I used the mattress stitch to join the strips together, rather than the suggested whip stitch in the pattern.

I added a button band for the bottom so that the cover could be removed for washing.

I knit 11 strips to cover a 15” pillow form.

I’m really happy with how the cushion cover turned out, and I would love to make another one using different colours. This bright cushion was made for my daughter, but maybe something more subtle for my own purposes.
