Notes

I’m really pleased with this cardigan - a perfect Autumnal layering piece.

I used the recommended Spincycle yarn for my contrast colour, but went off-piste for the main body. I love the colour of the Estelle Eco Tweed DK - orange, but not too pumpkiny.

My row gauge was off, but I was happy with the resulting fabric, so I went with it. I was aiming for a loose, oversized layering piece so I chose a size with 6 inches positive ease.

I decided to omit the beltloops & belt, as well as the stripes. Otherwise knit as written for the longer version of the pattern.

I highly recommend this clever, well-written pattern. A fun knit, with each row of “boring” stockinette broken up with some colourwork to keep you paying attention.

Knitting colourwork flat is a bit fiddly to be honest, but I feel like there was just the right amount of it - impactful, but not tedious to knit!
