Feb 26th - this pattern reminds me of an old favourite pullover of mine, from the eighties. It was some kind of cotton blend, and really big & boxy & perfect for summer.
I’m trying to re-create that look with Berroco Remix - it’s nice & rustic, and feels really light.
March 2nd - Wow, unraveling the central provisional cast on was way more stressful than expected! I messed up a bit with a couple of the yarn overs. I think I managed to salvage it, and the pattern is proceeding nicely.
March 6th - “proceeding nicely” is an understatement. I’m really enjoying this fun knit, and making amazing progress.
March 9th - Yikes! I’m going to put this aside for a bit, while I debate frogging the whole thing & starting anew. I’m just starting to shape the left sleeve & tried it on in front of a mirror…and those provisional stitches that I bungled picking up…are really noticeable!
My willingness to start again is mainly due to the fact that this has been such a fun knit & is progressing quite quickly.
March 23rd - I’m soooo glad that I frogged & re-started with provisional stitches cast-on to an extra interchangeable needle cord. My new favourite provisional cast on - I love it & lord knows I have tons of cords lying around.
I’m not progressing as quickly as I would have liked - but I’m blaming the weather. Difficult to knit when it’s gorgeous outside & my garden is beckoning!
July 7th - Finally got my act together & finished it! Now I need to decide what to do about one miss-crossed cable. Do I leave it as a “design feature”, or do I attempt to fix it?
Dec 31st - Decided to give up on fixing the miss-crossed cable & proceeded to finally weave in all my ends. Officially finished, although it still needs to be blocked!
