Finished the mitts last night - I just need to block them and sew on the buttons. I liked working the vertical zigzag, but the horizontal zigzag fits better (which I’m a bit surprised). They are tight on my hands, but I’m hoping that blocking will help.

Well, I decided to trim down the pattern by a third. So I started with 58 stitches and then that went to 48 stitches. I follow the pattern exact after that. After finishing the first mitt, I found that I could have done four more rounds in pattern on the upper hand thing and reduce the linen stitch by 4 rounds. Same on the thumb, reduce the linen stitch by 4 rounds.

Started a swatch on the 19th with my harmony 0 and my metal 0. The horizontal stripes were done with harmony circ at 8 stitches/inch and the verticals were with the metal circ at 9 stitches/inch.

I found I don’t like the harmony circ because I feel like I’m going to break it - too bendy for my tastes (larger sizes aren’t so bad).

And yes, those are my needles acting as blocking wires - it’s curling up on itself
