So, I want to do another cobweb project, but the yarn I’ve ordered isn’t here, yet and Beth had this perfectly nice project that she hasn’t started, wants finished, and offered it to me. It’s a Boo Knits, which is great, I love Boo Knits, it has beads, the yarn has silk in the blend, and it’s all just really nice. So, Excelcior. It’s not hard, but it should look lovely, and the materials are nice to work with.

Turns out, when I say, “I love beading,” what I actually mean is, “I love beading with a Fleegle-beader.” What I do not love is using dental floss. It is my opinion that my girlfriend owes me a thing, since the beads are a size 8 and not a size 5, and therefore cannot be put on with a Fleegle-beader, or a crochet hook. Possibly, I should get a cookie. Also, I take back 50% of the nice things I said about this yarn, as it was frayed in many, many places, and I have had to splice it upwards of a half-dozen times.

And it is my considered opinion that my girlfriend owes me a drink, because damn, dental floss is a pain. But it’s done, and it looks quite nice, and should block up well. I hope.

And, I got my drink. (Guiness, in case you were wondering.) She also confessed that she chose the smaller beads because she thought they would look better. (Mutter, mutter, mutter.) At any rate, I didn’t block it last night because the blocking board was full of my other project, but I will probably block it next week. It is really pretty.
