Notes

The process, she is in good order. Had to start about 5 times, I think. I finally realized, after 20 or 30 rows, that I was misreading “new stitch” as “next stitch” which explained why my double decreases weren’t in the right place. What is it with not being able to read patterns, Lydia Drew? This is nice yarn and this will be nice warm shawl, probably done just as spring gets into gear and I won’t need it anymore. Good timing! Yay, me.

As I’ve had occasion to note before this, lace is demanding, but stockinette leaves you no where to hide. This is coming along swimmingly, I’ve just started chart C, and have three visible errors, but you do have to look rather closely.

And now I’m fretted that I don’t have enough yarn. I thought I had five skeins, but in fact, I only have four. Which is a thousand yards, but may be a little short. Arghh. I truly hate playing yarn chicken, and this is not only a discontinued color but a discontinued type. Oh, well, what would knitting be without stress, I ask you.

Yep, gonna run out of yarn. It will still be a fairly nice size, but not super big and comfy as I was envisioning. Oh, well. It’s a nice pattern, and I may do it again, some day.
