Knitting the 6-9 month size hoping that it will fit her for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Her chest currently measures 16.5 in. Despite the yarn being a heavier weight, I am getting a gauge very close to the target. If it’s too big, she can just grow into it.

9/3/11 - finished the bodice

9/17/11 - Almost done! Only the hem left. I hope it’s not too tight!

9/18/11 - I still need to block and weave in ends, but I am uploaded pics anyway!

I love this pattern! It’s so cute on my little Emilie! I knit the 6-9 month size expecting it to fit in a couple months (she is 4 months old in these pics). The top still fits with negative ease, but I think it should fit her at 6-9 months and maybe even longer.

About the yarn:
I love how it came out, but I was a little disappointed with the yarn. It split a lot and the thickness varied a lot (thin in some spots and thick in others). This is my first experience with wool though and I am certainly a beginner, so maybe this is normal. There were no knots in my skeins like some others have complained about :) Maybe I’m just being a tough judge though because it really did come out nicely.

About the needle:
I used a size US 6 (4mm) 16” circular needle for the entire thing.

9/21/11 - blocking right now. Seems a little fuzzy now, but not too bad. Hopefully the seam won’t turn up when it’s dry.
