Sadly, my TARDIS socks are bigger on the OUTSIDE. They fit perfectly until I gave them a Eucalan bath and blocked them, and now they have bagged out of control, so I’m thinking about cautiously trying to shrink them a bit or sewing in some elastic thread to keep them up.

I think I need to get ahold of some sub-zero sock needles for the future.

5/25/13: So the socks seemed DONE… all ends woven in, they seemed to be fitting just lovely, I used duplicate stitch to touch up the lettering etc. But… see above.

4/3/13: I’ve started knitting the TARDIS panels and I hate the long slip stitches—they seem like they’re really going to snag badly. I think I’m going to unravel and try this suggestion from other Ravelers:

Rnd 1: sl 1, k8, repeat around
Rnd 2: k1, p8 repeat around
Rnd 3: sl1, k8, repeat around
Rnd 4: knit all stitches
repeat rnds 3 & 4 until 14 rnds total. Repeat rnds 1-14 2 more times.

I also found that even knitting with size zeros they were too baggy around the ankles for me, so I did quite a bit of decreasing — by 16 stitches total—in the last TARDIS panel to tighten up the ankle and foot. Didn’t want to mess with the charts above. Probably should have, though.
