My VERY first project. Sort of. I used to knit in my 20’s but not much.
I started knitting again with this project when on bed rest for my second baby. I knew I couldn’t watch TV and play video games all day or my brain would be unhappy. My mom set me up with the pattern (and possibly the yarn) This blanket got me through sitting in the NICU with my daughter once was born.
It turned out O.K.
But I pearled it instead of knit. Oops. Then when I realized and corrected it I ended up with a line across the corner. The lacing is okay pretty good although spotty in places. And the first corner increases very unsteadily for some reason. However, its finished and I’m not sure who’s going to get it!

In the end I sent this off to a cousin in the States who became a father around the same time.
