In the last edition of Barcelona Knits i went with my daughter (to see if she is encouraged to knit) and She felt in love with this jacket that was on display at the MEZ booth. We bought the magazine where the pattern was and this is the result knitting three plies of the EFM together with three plies of the linen / cotton.

As I read that other knitters commented that the pattern was very large, I have modified size S and instead of 169 sts I have knitted only 161 for the back and 81 for each of the front ones. The rest of the body I have knitted the same except for something longer. The sleeves are exactly the same as what the pattern marks.
And something that also seems important to me is knitting a line over the edge of the body with a crochet hook, before sewing the band(photo 2). Changing from stockinette stitch to stitch with holes makes both edges shaky, on other occasions I have done the same and the problem is solved.
As for the front band, I have knitted it differently, because when I tried it as the pattern says it was very inconsistent: I started with 14 sts (always an even number), sliping first st as is to purl, K1 , Sl st, K1 ……. K1, always slst as is to purl, so a much firmer band has been left.

Now the jacket is in a bath with dish soap. More photos tomorrow
