Notes

I wanted a 1920/30s-vintage-looking soft lacy crochet throw in faded, muted colors. The motif I am using is from a Japanese pattern book - the centers of each are in a pale yellow, and the outsides and the connecting elements in pale green. The motifs are not so bad but the connecting elements are a bit of a pain. The yarn is a superwash 100% wool, and is really nice to work with, though it has a tendency to split on the hook.

Edit: I’m now in Japan but without this project bcause it was too heavy! It is from the “300 motifs and edgings” book but I don’t have the book with me at the moment. That book is terrific by the way if you can read crochet charts. Japanese pattern using Swiss yarn = that’s me all over ^_^

Another edit! I’ve basically finished it, and it’s hanging on my favorite armchair, but I still can’t decide what to do with the edge so at the moment it is still edge-less. (July 2014.)
