Followed Kim Brody Salazar’s pattern on wiseneedle.com for the most part. Did not make the cape. After it was knitted, I mixed grey acrylic paint in water and soak the armor for a long time, checking for sauration periodically. Once it absorbed enough paint, it was hard, heavier, and had a laquered look similar to metal. It was fun to try and cool enough that he didn’t feel like he was wearing his grandmother’s afghan.
