A pair of fingerless gloves to celebrate Carol Danvers’ new look.

My first time writing a pattern. If all goes well this might be the first in a line of Marvel superhero gloves.

10/20: Had a successful test of the chart but it needs some mods. Working on resizing and adding thumb gussets.

Putting these suckers into hibernation until I finish my Christmas knitting…

1/18: Testing out a new pattern. As much as I like the first chart, intarsia and gloves without thumbs drive me nuts. I’m messing around with a smaller design that can be stitched on with duplicate stitch.

1/31: Fiiiinally satisfied with the mitten pattern. Now working on the star chart, which is turning out to be the trickiest part. Working on what feels like the hundredth revision.

2/1: Whew. Okay. I can’t say I’m 100% satisfied. They’re not exactly what I’d envisioned, but I’m mostly happy, my obvious inability to do a clean & even duplicate stitch aside. (Seriously, I dunno what’s up with that. Try as I might, I just couldn’t get it right.) A good steam blocking helped even things up, though. Pics to come in the morning.
