Using Miyuki 6/0 beads in Hematite and Metallic Wine.

Increasing needle size only once (starting on chart C) to get a less airy-looking lace.

Decided I wanted a slightly less dramatic edging, so for the beaded points on the bind off I’m only chaining 3 stitches instead of 5.

10/23: Chart D finished, starting bind off
10/26: Bind off finished. About 33g remaining

Halfway through the bind off I had the sinking realization that I’d been adding the beaded dangles in the wrong spot (below the sk2psso instead of below the centre bead, don’t ask me HOW I managed to misread the pattern that poorly). Turns out this yarn is very unforgiving when you try to pull it apart, so a successful tinking was out of the question. After a good cry and a cup of tea, Boo gave me the exquisite idea of continuing with the bind off as I’d been doing it and chaining on a second set of dangles in the proper spot. The final result is a gorgeous shawl with a little extra drama. Really glad I didn’t follow through on my first instinct to set the whole thing on fire. What a shawl.
