I wanted to use as much of the skein as possible and was worried about not having enough yarn for the medium, so I went down a needle size. Turns out I had plenty of yarn so I kept knitting until I was almost out. Ended up with about 20 yards left.

Mods:

• knitted one extra repeat of the fleurette lace
• added another repeat of the eyelet ridge before the garter edge

I found that keeping the garter edge stitches really loose helped prevent puckering better than a double YO on the WS rows, as others have done. I still ended up with a bit of puckering at the centre; next time I’d start with a garter tab instead of a cable cast on.
