Notes

I’m not sure about this sweater. I can’t decide whether it’s charming or too busy. Regardless, it’s done and my oldest thinks it’s amazing, I suppose that is all that matters.

My original plan was to knit it all in gray and use the blue buttons (the buttons are from North County Folk btw). However, I was going to have to play yarn chicken in order to do that. At first I thought it wouldn’t be a problem, but the further I got into the project the more I started to sweat. I decided to use some scraps of Owl I had used for a different project, but even with those scraps I was concerned I was going to run out. So the whole thing just got extremely weird. Turns out, I had enough of the gray, I’m just a chicken. I did not want to frog so I decided to just stay with the blue and pink that my 8 year old was so excited about. She has Sperry’s that match and had a whole outfit picked out.

Great pattern, there was a small typo in the beginning of the pattern in the Neck shaping which says, “knit to last st. m1-R, k2” Obviously it should say, “knit to last 2 sts, m1-R, k2”
