I have been both admirering and avoiding knitting this shawl for months - and wanting to knit it for as long - only it was such a big project and the yarn was expensive.

Then yesterday I tried on Lisbeth’s Tiny Camomille - and I knew I wanted one like it.
Lisbeth always has the perfect yarn in her stash - and she found this highland wool and baby alpaca, that’ll give me just the look I want.

And it’s garter garter garter - which I love knitting at the moment…

July 2nd: After knitting 14 stripes, I start the border

July 6th: having knitted half of the border pattern - 24 repeats, I timed myself - and each repeat takes me about 8 minutes to knit… (I only needed to look at the pattern the first 5 repeats). Then I have done a few more - only 20 to go…
