I bought the pattern the moment I saw it and sort of was reluctant to start. I have knitted Svetlana’s patterns before ( https://www.ravelry.com/projects/mariolac/stole-dunes) and know that the instructions may be a bit tricky. She is one of the most amazing fiber artists I know of and one just has to get used to her writing style. The result will definitely be worth the effort!
The socks are constructed from individual hexagons in 3 different sizes. The units are knitted separately and then sewn together. I suppose they could be done in a manner of entrelac, but I think it would be a bit too complicated. The individual hexagons are easier to make then they look.
After several false starts the first small hexagon took me about 1.5 hours, the second half of that. I am now on the third one and by now don’t have to use the row counter. Hopefully the following ones will be a breeze!
Word of advise - keep the center stitch tight by pulling on the cast-on tail (green yarn). The center stitch is exclusively used for short row wraps and as such can get easily stretched.
I am currently working on several other Christmas projects, not to mention at least 3 sweaters and God know how many other UFOs. I also am planning on making at least couple of pairs of socks and mittens for Christmas gifts. So… not sure if I am actually going to finish this projects this year.
I am also considering making a table runner out of these little flowers instead of socks. We will see.

Christmas is over now and my mittens will have to wait till next year. I managed to finish 4 flowers and start the 5th. Got sidetracked by other, more urgent projects (gifts) and simply ran out of time. I am going to keep this handy in case I feel like working on something small between larger projects. Have to address several unfinished sweaters now and also start on an illusion blanket for our granddaughter’s birthday in April.
