Need a narrow scarf; too lazy to search for a pattern. Want it to be drapery and loose but still have some structure. This should work:
CO3 on size 6 needles
Row 1: sl1, m1left, knit remaining st
Row 2, 3, 4: sl1, knit remaining st
Repeat until half of the yarn is used then decrease:
Row 1: sl1, k2tog tbl, knit all remaining st
Rows 2, 3, 4: sl1, knit remaining st
When 3 st left, bind off
M1L: pick up yarn between stitches with L needle from front to back, then knit through back loop

9/13/17 Funny how easy it is to write up a project, but then when it comes time to knit it, it’s not that easy EVEN WHEN THE INDIVIDUAL ELEMENTS OF THE PROJECT ARE SIMPLE. As I’m knitting I keep losing track of which row I’m on and increasing at the wrong time. Or skipping increases. I’ve ripped this back 10+ rows three times now. But it just seems so silly to use a row counter for a 4-row repeat! UGH so frustrating.

9/28/17 After putting this down for a week and a half and taking many deep breaths, I finally got the hang of this and banged out nearly all of the first skein (so nearly half the scarf) yesterday. I don’t know why this was so difficult for me … the whole thing is just garter stitch with a couple of slips and M1Ls thrown in. Of course I could have changed up the pattern, but I’m stubborn and had to figure it out. My friend Oriana would tag this stubbornness: #whyamilikethis
Also, there about eleventy billion skinny triangle scarf patterns on ravelry that I could have used.

9/28/17 Finished up first skein so I’m starting the decreases; 69 st on my needle.

10/2/17 With 31 rows to go I ran out of yarn. WTF. Maybe my skeins were different size? I sure hope amyliz78 has some of this colorway in her stash.
AMY TO THE RESCUE!! It was even the same dye lot! Yay! I used 1g of her yarn.

10/3/17 knitting is done! Now blocking…

10/25/17 This waited much longer to block than I’d hoped it would … I was hit by a car a couple days after this was off my needles and haven’t been able to do much of anything these last few weeks. Now it’s stretched; once it’s dry I’ll weave in the ends and gaily wear it.
Super thanks to amyliz78 for being the best, silliest, gayest model ever. And for giving me 1g of yarn.
