So it seems I’m on a Reyna kick … I can’t get enough of this pattern! You’d think I’d be getting sick of it, but different yarns, different needle sizes, different row counts make this pattern infinitely interesting and a real pleasure to knit.

This time around, I worked this number of eyelet rows in each mesh section:
2-4-8-9
with 16 rows of garter between each mesh section
After the last eyelet section I worked 1 row of garter
then started bind-off (6g yarn remaining) using 6.0 glass beads.

I used the same bind-off I used on my last two Reynas; it’s similar to myasiadragon’s beaded bind EXCEPT that I worked the beaded stitch through the back loop:
Cast on 2 sts using knitted cast-on. K2tog tbl, place bead on next stitch on left hand needle, Ktbl. Pass first stitch over beaded stitch as if binding off. Bind off two sts. Slip stitch from right needle back to left needle.
Repeat until there are no sts remaining on left needle.

Once again I played yarn chicken and won … I finished the bind-off with about 2’ of yarn left. The Zen Garden yarn is amazingly soft and squishy … the drape is fabulous when knit on size 7s.

This may be the first time I’ve ever blocked a shawl the day I finished knitting it. Progress? Yes!
